The lifestyle of Congo and Germany are on the opposite ends of the spectrum. On one side you have the democratic, modern, healthy, relatively risk free life in Germany to the communist, more industrial, risky lifestyle of the Congo. While Germany’s lifestyle is great it may have negative effects on its sustainability by the rapid influx of immigrants and the loss of culture through such great diffusion. On the other hand the sustainability, from what I see, is mostly positive. Germany has a prosperous economy and great benefits for the working class. Though it has recently been countered by immigration, for a time Germany was in stage 5 which contributes an actual population decline. Though not such a big deal anymore it gives you something to think about.
Congo’s sustainability, as I see it, is mostly negative. The country has high levels of violence and poverty. It’s economy is mostly production so it also shows a sort of dependency towards the countries that buy its product. One positive I see, though a bit of a stretch, is the placement of a communist government. While communism is notoriously disliked I feel it may bring more people out of poverty and into the middle class than it would bring the wealthy down into the working class. This could be seen as a positive but you must rely on the government to make the right choices which can be a pressing matter at times.
